Hello All,

In case you have yet to hear the one and only Dirty Defender/Bill is leaving LA and heading back to the deep woods of North Carolina. DD has been a great member of LARS and organizer for a group that tends to attract chaos. He has helped organize so many of our LARS Olympics and brought bike jousting into our lives among other dangerous activities.

Dirty Defender's Going Away BBQ/Tailgate Party
Saturday, 9/18
Location: Lot 13
Time: 3pm

Featuring:

Drinking and more drinking.

5 v 5 Random Soccer Tournament - Boy & Girls will put their names in a hat and be equally assigned to a random five person team. Depending on # of entries we will have a single elmination or group stage with playoffs. This will be a short field soccer tournament no goalies with a protected area around the goal. All games will be ONLY 10 minutes long, at the end of a match if the game is tied two team members will face off from each team for a drinking contest. The winner of the drinking contest is the game winner. Tournament winners will get PRIZES! Which are being developed but I promise they will be good/disgusting/interesting/illegal or some combination off all the above.

WHAT I NEED:

Cones for marking field.
Someone to be a semi-sober ref for a few games.
A few extra Forman grills if you have them.

SIGN UP FOR 5v5 RANDOM SOCCER TOURNY:
Put down your name/handle

Guys:
1)

Girls:
1)

Working on some aditional activities.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

Will always remember San Diego in 2005, Bill...what a bonehead I was

Fortunately, I have the DC game on my tix package...though, even if I didn't, I'd be there ;)

Bummer....I'll miss seeing a grown ass man ride up to lot 13 on a bike with a "chinese" 50cc motor. Is he taking the advice he gave me after I graduated college and going AWOL for a year or 2 and hiking the Appalachian Trail? If he is, we need to give him a "trail name."

I heard he's leaving because he's on a mission to find Billy B, whose whereabouts are unknown.
