USA floating the idea of hosting a "NIT" tournament next summer with Italy, Netherlands, Chile, Ghana, etc (prior to the WC).  I just watched the guys on ESPNFC ripping the idea, but I'm not really sure why.  If these countries are going to play friendlies anyway, why not organize a mini-tournament?  Maybe invite Wales, Ireland, and one other country and have two groups of four.  Just another opportunity for the young guns to get more experience against historically good teams.

Makes sense but I won't be spending a dime on tickets for any of those games.

2018 is going to be a good year to simply focus on club soccer. Frees up some more of my time to learn new skills. Maybe I'll learn to crochet my own MPF hat.

Any B samples remaining from those who voted to award WC18 to them?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
