To get from my friend's place in Arlington to Audi Field (about 8.5 miles) requires two trains and 25 minutes of walking, totalling about an hour of travel without a car.

Wait, isn't the stadium right by the Navy Yard Metro stop? Thought it was right by Nationals Park?

0.7 miles from the Navy Yard stop.

Close-ish, but like double the distance of Harrison PATH to RBA.

that's more than a dozen NYC blocks (North/South). kind of a hike. RBA is just close enough to the PATH, ~6 blocks (North/South).

I guess we will find out how good Audi Field's drainage system is tomorrow since it's supposed to thunderstorm in DC until 10pm.

Usually the doommongering weather forecasts off Google aren't that bad in reality though, so here's to hoping the game starts on time (especially for our traveling supporters taking buses down).

BTW, I think that the game is at 8:00, not 7:30 as indicated on MF home page.  Apparently the architect screwed up big time in his design by making the roof too low.  So, the sun shines directly into the camera at sundown.  As a result, all summer kickoffs have been moved back until a time after the sun sets below the roofline.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I like the "will face DC United of Wayne Rooney."  The team has already been relegated hahaha

good game to test a couple fringe players (literally two) and see what happens.  Casseres has looked better in USL as the season has gone on, so giving him a first-team appearance is a good reward and motivator to keep pushing him.  Especially because he may need to start next year.

If we throw out a "B" lineup and lose I will run onto the field and choke Armas until the shit comes pouring out of his nostrils.
