Honestly, for us, is this necessary? Consistantly we're probably the worst in the HDC (for Galaxy games) and this would be a complete waste of energy and money for us. Am I wrong?

I guess they fear that LARS will be like ACB or Galaxians where someone decided to practice their javelin skills with a flagpole.
"Last month I was in the Canary Islands, and I met up with Armada Sur, the supporters group for CD Tenerife. When the subject of MLS comes up one of the first things they ask me about is if I've heard of the Riot Squad and they mention that one of them has a LARS shirt, and describes the gask mask guy logo.

Halfway around the world and I can't get away from you guys?!?!"

Is what necessary? I guess that we need to throw as many streamers as possible tomorrow.

Canada cares more than we do since they blanket players trying to play the game.

To be fair, throwing streamers at opposing players is not on. If you did that in England you would be arrested and banned for life from your club. Now I know this sounds excessive but things escalate. Ultimately somebody will throw something more than a streamer at a player or put something inside a streamer. I guess they need to draw a line somewhere and it will probably mean that nobody can throw anything at all towards the pitch or other supporters.

Unfortunately, people took Garber's "ok" on streamers as an excuse to be idiots. Last week a moron in Toronto threw a streamer early in the 2nd half as McDonald was running up the flank on the right side. That's a more direct attempt at interfering with play.

The bigger problem, however, was that people started using the streamers as cover to throw other stuff. Oh well. Keep in mind that streamers are not yet banned, just restricted. If I may propose a new drinking game for the Riot Squad. Aim for the track between the stands and the field. 5 Extra points if you hit a rich guy, 10 if you hit a spoiled son/daughter, 15 if you hit a MILF, 25 if you hit said MILF's plastic accessories.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.
