sad but not surprised

Omir Mines Stroud - this is your big chance

Can we please stop relying on homegrows and bring some real talent in here?!

Who is more blinded the FO with their low bids or the people in here who keep rooting for home growns....

The transfer window is open.  Go get some legit talent!

must be nice to be Liverpool, utilizing the press and doing it well, having academy reared players in the 18 and then injecting high priced talent into the squad.

lucky them, they get to shop at Saks Fifth Avenue, we get Nordstrom Rack. Trust the system/process, my fucking ass.

Two things are true:

1) i root for homegrowns because they help provide a competitive advantage to the club

2) every day all 3 DPs slots are not filled is a failure of management and unacceptable

I will echo what is already said

1) i root for homegrowns

2) fill DP slots

- we should have 3 DP under 22 on the roster.

not all talent develops as expected.  If we followed the bring in all the DPs Tyler would be riding the bench.

But again spend some real $$$ to bring in lots of young DPs and other talent.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Not all HGs are built the same, guys like Tyler, and potentially Tolkin and Sowe can be those match winners

Some others should peak out as cheap depth

Unfortunately Im not confident in the current management set up to properly assess which of the players have the potential and can be reared for success

IIRC, the head of the Liverpool youth program was fired a few years ago for not developing enough youth players for the first team.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Is that the strategy of any other RB club?
Does RBNY ever identify any areas of need
prior to announcing its occasional acquisitions?
The absence of 3 genuine DPs (not a Sims)
shows a lack of commitment to building a team.

too many ppl in this fanbase fall for it every fucking time.

Is anyone really buying it at this point?

Question is will Thiewell have more actual $$$$ to spend that he was looking promised in interviews and what the heck now happens in light of COVID?

we can develop talent of all sorts- shame Sims experiment didnt work out with him killing it in first half 2020 and then going back and making Southampton roster (a la Almiron or even Jack Harrison in Championship). Because that wouldve a serious selling point to lower level guys to come me here and jump your career

Oh go homegrowns!

Nah not here for another Papa Red Bull excuse. Not shedding any tears for Dietrich and co. and it doesnt stop any of the other teams from spending.

This team hasnt spent any appreciable $$ in close to 2 years
