MLS Dropped it's much hyped (by MLS) 2015 NYRB season preview today, featuring some analysis by Matt Doyle, some comedy stylings by Kevin Brown and a video segment featuring a very nice person that had a number of cups of coffee before this segment was shot.
The video segment is a laugh, you should check it out.

In MLS we don't have Murphy's Law. We have "That's so Metro."
The New York Red Bulls were, for nearly two decades, the definition of a cursed franchise. Big-name players came in and underperformed. Promising talent was traded away by the boatload. World-renowned coaches failed spectacularly.
Then Mike Petke came in and won the Supporters' Shield. Then he got his team within a goal of the franchise's second MLS Cup appearance.
And so he was fired. "That's so Metro."
I'm not sure about the "top or bottom" analysis, I think it's entirely possible for us to be exactly mediocre enough to finish like 6th, especially with TFC likely making a run at the top 3 in the east and others coming in as well like Orlando, etc.
Our midfield is good, our front line is decent but thin, and our backline is shit. Add to that a new coach, and I think you have the recipe for a mediocre team that struggles to be consistent.
Anyway, some good content by the league.
Not that we'll have a 2015 season. (#That'sSoMetro).
