==================
It is Redemption Day for the Bumbling Bob Show.
Will the Nike sponsored script end as planned or will the Bob Bradley era sputter to an unceremonial halt?
Bob has "experimented" with and stumbled onto some formations that seem to work.
What we've learned:
- Clint Dempsey hates Bob and is better served playing in the forward position
- Alejandro Bedoya offers an attacking option on the flank that the US team has sorely missed
- Carlos Bocanegra is still the best option to lead the back line from the CB position
- Eric Lichaj is the best option available at LB and this keeps Jonathan Bornstein out of the starting lineup
What I think we'll see:
----------- Dempsey-------------
------------ Agudelo---------------
Bedoya -------------------Landon
-------------MB---JJ--------------
Lichaj----Boca--Goodson----Dolo
------------- Timmy--------------
What could work and give the team a decent option off the bench (Agudelo):
----------- Dempsey------------
------------ Landon--------------
Bedoya ------------------Sacha
-------------MB---JJ--------------
Lichaj----Boca--Goodson----Dolo
------------- Timmy--------------

It is Redemption Day for the Bumbling Bob Show.
Redemption would come in beating Panama AND winning the Gold Cup Final.
However I don't see them beating the winner of Mexico/Honduras so I look forward to more meaningless friendlies and a dismal 2014 qualifying campaign.
I think Project 2010 has turned into Project 2026.

a good example of why doing this helps no one. Kicking the can down the road does nothing.
-Root for Panama and you recognize that getting to the next level of soccer supremacy must come with some pain and anguish. The mold must be shattered into many pieces and put back together with vision and resolve.
If you want to rinse and repeat '06 and '10 go ahead and cheer for "American Deceptionalism" tonight. Me? I am tired of hot dogs and beer all the time and am ready for a prime rib eye with a buttery cabernet or a fantastic pale ale with a half rack of baby backs for those that prefer the suds. Can't get that until the kitchen is fumigated and staffed with a good chef and staff to support him.

While I can understand the rationale and the temptation behind rooting for Panama, it is in the end.... LAME.
If the USMNT team Gold Cup run goes down in flames tonight, well then so be it.... I refuse to root for a loss because I am unhappy with the coach and the USSF.

Enjoy the "3 and out" in Brazil 2014. If this is what satisfies you, more power to you. You shouldn't be settling for mediocrity at such a young age, but what do I know. I've only been watching US soccer since the late 80's and have seen them come from qualifying for wc '90 at El Camino Community College to a bad refs call in '02 keeping them from a wc semi. I see this team and system going more in the direction of El Camino CC again than I do them even thinking about a semis appearance in 2014.

I tried to root for Jamaica, but I couldn't do it. I want to win. Even though I want Bob gone, I still want to win. There has to be another way to get him out. Since we beat Jamaica he's pretty much secured his job. Hoping for a loss, and losing are a gamble. Is Sunil really going to fire Bob if we lose? Doubtful.

My understanding is that Gulati is committed to Blank Bob through the '14 World Cup. So you may as well root for the players to pull an '05 Galaxy and win in spite of their coach.I tried to root for Jamaica, but I couldn't do it. I want to win.
