nose guy is suppose to start game day threads.

Once in a while, someone else seizes the initiative.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Well its mid-season and I think theres a pretty good WHAT NOT TO DO list to follow from here on out.

1. DO NOT rest 3 starters at once. Weve got some fixture congestion coming up but no Open Cup or any other nonsense. Swapping 1 or 2 guys each game should suffice.

2. DO NOT play Collin. Just no.

3. DO NOT play Etienne as a lone striker. Hes done fairly well in the midfield. Leave him there or play him in a 2 striker set up. If youre resting BWP and you STILL want to play a lone striker then play someone else. Anyone else. Royer, Moreno, DP#3 ;) I dont care who. Etiennes best value is attacking mid.

4. DO NOT play Davis as the lone CDM. It just hasnt worked very well.

Follow those 4 rules and we should get 3 points this weekend.

And do not let BWP take a PK

Thats a rule that should have been learned long long ago.

But yes.

I wonder why it is our star players have always been poor at PK's. Henry didn't take them after a while either.

Its not just ours, Torontos stars have also struggled.

I thought Henry stopped taking them to help get other guys (Peggy, BWP) started.

BWP was pretty good at them, until he suddenly wasn't.

He was better than pretty good, he seemed to slot every one perfectly into the bottom corner, totally unstoppable even if the keeper guessed right. Then he missed two in one game against Vancouver and was never the same.

LAFC has a USOC match in Houston next Wednesday.
Will they limit their traveling squad? Rest some?
