Today is contract deadline day. It looks like MLS has a running tracker, so we should know who is staying and who is leaving by 8pm today.

Evan Louro just said his goodbyes on social media. 11yrs with this organization.

Probably best. Talented at the USL level but MLS talent is questionable.

Ends his career here with the most NYRBII games played and started and minutes played.

Also, the longest tenured first team player to never play in a meaningful game.

Looks like Sims isn't coming back. Two DP spots open:

Feel bad for Evan but if he has MLS ambitions its a now or never thing, we will lose a lot of leadership on RB2. I wonder if there are big shake ups in GK coming. Robles 500k could certainly be used for a CM.

As for Sims, all that means is he is back in training which is good.

BWP I understand because he has been terrible for awhile now but the Robles move is horrendous.

At least we can enjoy BWP's jersey retirement in the future..... Oh wait these idiots did it after a game unannounced.

Thanks to BWP and Robles for the memories. They were red through and through and had some absolutely incredible moments in their time spent here. Just a shame they couldn't get a cup together.

End of an era here.

A metric fuckload of money was just freed up. I don't think there's really a question of whether they're going to spend this winter. The question now is whether they're going to spend enough to not only make up for the lost players, but also improve beyond that.

Can't understand why you let your captain and one of the better GKs go. Dumb.

Robles was league average last year. Meara is 7 years younger and like 400K cheaper. I don't think it's a no-brainer decision but it should be pretty easy to understand the logic.

Yup they better bring in some quality name players or they are gonna need more tarps next year.

Great. Two fan favorites and club legends unceremoniously dumped so they can call up shitty Jorgensen and promote Meara in a total sideways move.

Yeah no shit. They have to actually spend the money they just opened up to make the team better. Presumably, that's the plan.

That's presumably been the plan for every transfer window since 2015.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
