Not sure whey the previous topic with the same title was locked but after a shambolic defensive performance in Portland yesterday, it is time to start thinking about a new head coach. Both Petke and Fraser have strong defensive credentials yet neither can organize a shut down defense when it matters the most. Chivas had the second most goals against record in MLS last season. Red Bulls let in an average of 2.2 goals per game in their last five preseason games. Luckily Silvestre gifted us two goals. If not, we would have been hammered by the third worst team in 2012. There is only one man responsible for this malaise - Petke needs to get the boot.

Shut the fuck up you retard. It's one fucking game. This doesn't deserve a rational response. So just shut the fuck and stop going out of your way to make retarded comments, stir the pot, and piss people off.
RETARD!

Fuck you.

Interesting.
Any other coach, there would be agreement and some sarcastic jabs. Hell, we always have a FIRE *insert coach here* thread.
I think we have a glimpse of just what is going to happen for the first half of the year - we knew the D was weak going in due to personnel and familiarity issues.
I also don't like the travel excuses - This sounds too much like last year

For the record, he was NOT "sporting a tie-and-sweater-vest combination." iI was a cardigan, fully sleeved. Had it actually been a sweater vest, calls for his dismissal would be reasonable.

After one game? About any other coach these comments would be equally assinine. If you read my comments in thr Portland thread, I do criticize the coaching and you could be right. No disagreement. But to start this topic for any coach after one game is stupid. I don't like the travel excuses either. But shit like this just pisses me off (which is really easy to do after watching something like last night).

The travel excuses were completely legitimate and that's something that will need to get worked out.
For one thing, I don't think the team should have flown back to the east coast on the red eye last night. That's just stupid. They should have stayed on the west coast this week in prep for the SJ game, gotten used to the climate, the time out there, etc., than flown back after the SJ game. It's stupid to have two cross country trips in one week, the team will be tired as a result of the travel alone. I think Petke will figure this kind of stuff out over time.
