I mean in general, sure, and it's definitely not happening on RB's watch, but if you had the choice of Barlow/White/Tetteh/Jorg or Chicharito for the remainder of this season, you wouldn't go for it?

If Chicharito was paid as much as the other 4 were, sure.

I guess, if our only option is someone currently on our roster or Chicharito. Still though, whats his contract situation? I wouldnt want to be locked into him for more than the remainder of this season. I think Thelwell and Struber will find a better option in the off-season.

Chicarito can't even score with an elite winger like Pavon giving him service.

If we wanted a quality forward for 2020 that played for Man U and has trained with our team just get Giuseppe Rossi back .

Roll with what we have - Brian White > Chicarito for NYRB 2020

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Not my money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, obviously not happening, but I do think it's funny that people are turning up their nose at a NT DP striker when we have Barlow as our no.1 option.

Because our new coach hasn't even arrived yet and he'll want to take some time to assess the existing roster before any more new signings are made

Is he still getting call ups?

The assumption is Barlow wont be the starter next year. So yea, it would be an upgrade for the remainder of this season, but then wed be stuck with an underperforming DP striker for another couple of seasons.

Not in 2020, but all 3 of their games this year happened over the last month and have been friendlies.

What if LA pays most of the contract? Rbny uses funny money to get his # to not count as a DP?

LA might be open to do this to open up the DP slot.

Ozil please

For how much of his $500K weekly wage?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Ozil please

There's no way. Too old and would take time from Kaku/Clark. Also, I wonder what Red Bulls interests are in China.

Shitty source - but Ozil spoke out about Uyghur camps -

I detest companies/governments/athletes cowtowing to Chinese pressure and enabling a genocide for money. Unfortunately, I suspect even if Ozil was a perfect fit, his comments would scare RB Global.  Maybe I'm wrong?

Another reason to hate the ownership situation, regardless of the personnel they bring in. "NY wants him but RB Global says no bc he's bad for intl brand relations."

RED. BULL. OUT.
