Silver lining perhaps, but between tightening the belt on the DP's and now not shilling on the USL and youth development...seems like their interest in the club here is waning. Makes one wonder if a sale isn't too far off after all.
Let's look at things here:
-DeBontin out seemingly out of nowhere
-DeGrandpre back in
-Tightening of belt on player salaries (no more Henry paychecks)
-Talk of investing in youth structure
-Update training facility
-Out of nowhere embrace Metro
-Pull out of USL team idea and decide no, we won't have a USL team after all
It's all over the place. I mean, from afar it looks almost like an internal management struggle with next to no clear direction from the CEO. That or it looks like a firm that is tying up loose ends and looking for a new investor, tabling projects until it gets the new team in place.
Something is up. I'm not sure what, but something is clearly up.
