Ah shit, I was planning on bringing first-timers that aren't ESC. That'd be frowned upon?

This Sunday, it's the Eastern Conference Finals, Leg 1, at home in Red Bull Arena, and in honor of the occasion, we're gonna go a little bit old-school. We're going back to the days of parking lots, coolers and grills. That's right, for the first time in over five years, it's an old-fashioned ESC Tailgate!

We'll be stationed in "Lot A" at the corner of Somerset St. and 3rd St., behind the Five Guys. See map:

http://tinypic.com/v...=8#.VGwLDDTF-So

When you get there, you should be able to see the ESC flags waving to get a better sense of where in that lot we post up. If you bought tickets for this match through the club, this is where you will be able to pick them up.

The tailgate will start at 10am. Coming out of semi-retirement is Chef Leon, and he's bringing a stacked menu (subject to change):
-Pulled Pork
-Brisket
-Baked Beans
-Bacon Jalapeno Cornbread
-Cole Slaw
-Pasta Salad
-Hot Dogs for the kids

As it was back in the Giants Stadium days, it will be $5.00 a head to get in on the food.

A few further notes:
-You're on your own for beverages, but please remember we need you in good voice once the game starts.
-We'll be outside, so remember to dress for the weather.
-We'll be outside in Harrison, so remember that this won't be like the lawless days in Lot 16A. Actions can have real consequences. Be smart, be safe.

I'm confused by this last bullet. Were fans ever assaulted/jumped in Harrison? I walked it the game a few time from Newark station, and it didn't seem that bad.

That last line is a  throwback to those that used to tailgate at lot 16A in the old Giants stadium and all the shenanigans we got away with there, not about dangers of  Harrison. As in drinking in public is probably illegal and Harrison PD might have a presence there unlike the lawless days at Giants stadium.

You have nothing to worry about, except the police!

First timers are welcome, as long as they come back!

If New England chooses to start their goalie at 101 end, we should begin with "There's only one Bobby Shuttleworth"

Was a good tailgate and very well organized. And the food? No explorations there. Good job, ESC, the Rossis and everyone involved behind the scenes.

Where was the cake???

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Where was the cake???

Back of Goran's car.

How many people got beer caps into their tires?  My car sounded like a horse on 280.
