He was great in playing multiple positions and added grit to our back line playing well.
If only he didn't end on missing out on the USOC semi final because of a stupid yellow after the prior USOC game.

Think we can do better and have someone fit our style better - a la Duncan

Also, do not hold it against him returning home as his gf is quite pregnant.  best of luck to him.

Hes like D. Nealis, but good at soccer.

But he thats not what he said at his Barnsley presser!!!

What a family guy he is. Screwed his team with just two critical months to go, unprofessionally dishonored his contract, then publicly lied for no reason that he's been over the pond long enough. He might even marry her one day, you watch! What an exemplary family man, we can all learn something from him.

You guys are better people than me. To me, he was allowed to go back for over a month for paternity leave, but you are professional under contract, come back to finish the season, which is entering critical stage. It's just two more months. Could be less with the way Metro usually plays in play-offs. Don't just dishonor your contract and sign with another team (btw not in the same town, but across country) then publicly say how you've been overseas enough. I still think it was a dick move, but we will have to agree to disagree on this one.

I wish this happened during the winter but if a guy is not committed then it's best to let him go.

I like Duncan better at RB and Reyes at CB. However, we will miss his grit.

Moving forward, we will need a longterm solution at RB.

Hes trying to endear himself to his new fanbase. I dont know what the terms of his loan were. Did he have an opt out clause for the summer window? Did we mutually terminate his loan bc RBNY didnt want to force a player to be here that didnt want to be? Life happens, there are a handful of things more important than RBNY soccer.

My biggest issue with Edwards was getting suspended for the Open Cup semi. We werent ready to play that match without him.

Edwards was a really impactful players for us, and I would not be surprised if he starts for Barnsley. I listened to Struber's interviews throughout this period, and he desperately wanted Edwards back. He was even saying he was coming back soon during this time, but was out for personal reasons (paternity) for several weeks. Then only recently he changed the tune and said he wasn't coming back. It also took Struber numerous games to make an adjustment for not having him. He had to change entire formation, and the team look dreadful during this time. It looks like now though we finally found the right balance, albeit depth is an issue.

Whatever. I'm still salty about the red card vs NYC that might've cost us an open cup. But he was good for us and brought the scrappiness. Gave this team of young nice dudes some edge. Just a bit too much at the wrong moment.

RED. BULL. OUT.

Odd way to put it - but this might just be Struber-talk

Just listened to the interview. He then said It was Tom's decision and we have accepted. Oh well, fuck him, moving on.
