Its really so disappointing seeing him do a complete 180 from last season. He absolutely used that tackle to vent his frustration about his status at RB.

Did you type that with your tin foil hat on?

Anyway I'm with most of you guys that his play this year has not been up to snuff, especially compared to last year.

Also I'm not one to get on a guy to go out and represent his national team. We knew how committed he is to playing for Australia so it should come as no surprise he wants to go. Doesn't matter who they are playing - he is called, it's a FIFA date and it's something that he takes great pride in so I do will not get on him for that. Rather it's on MLS to schedule better.

Will yall shit on Miller and Oyongo for going to play next week also?

So I don't want to engage in a ton of conjecture of what's really going on. Is he pissed? Probably but he is not one to go out there and do something to harm our team. He messed up yes but this guy is a consummate professional and always gives his 100% on the field. Now he isn't fitting in to our starting 11 and shouldn't we be giving credit to Petke for making that tough call?

Sure all that conjecture about the story before the game but what about this stuff from Petke that pretty much puts this fire out - http://www.empireofs...diculous-29232/

I don't care about him going on international duty; Australia hosts the Asian Cup in three months, and Cahill is a vital member of their squad, so he should be playing with them at every opportunity.  However, Cahill makes 18 times what Roy Miller does, and 99 times what Oyongo does.  He's held to a different standard, and rightly so.

Cahill's saying he's not sure what his position is on the field,They're moving him from spot to spot.I think he's frustrated. He should have a sit down with Petke ,and get it out.Just like Henry did with Petke last year. He's been a great Redbull, and deserves the benefit of any doubts.Tonight he went for the ball and got it,but was unlucky. We need the whole team,to win.

I'll be burying my Cahill jersey for a while.

Thanks for last season though.

Pretty frustrating that he can just shun the team paying his bills so easily.

He's not quitting on Bulls. He'll be BACK, better than ever!!!!!!

He'll be back for the Kansas City game if he's lucky and MLS doesn't tack any games onto his suspension.

Maybe we'll see him up top against Montreal in the CCL game that I actually forgot we still have to play.

I still admire the guy and love what he did for us last year.  I blame 0% of his performance this year on his attitiude or effort or international duties.  Wait and see what he does with his whaever opportunities he gets down the stretch.

Agree whole heartedly!!!!!

“At the end of the day, everything that we did last year, I was involved in everything. We got a Supporters Shield, we won the first trophy here in 18 years. And now things are changed up. If that's the way it's going to be, that's the way it's going to be. For my mental focus is for the team and not for myself individually ... If I don't play here, if I don't play tomorrow because of international duty, then I will play Qatar and UAE [United Arab Emirates]. If I come back and I don't play again, then I will address the situation.

So looks like Cahill is being benched tomorrow. Amazing how we turn into a circus every year right before the playoffs.

We need Tim, End of Story.Everybody needs to Chill.

Cahill is still the best player on the roster, the only presently world-class player to dress in the past few years, and the most competent striker we can put on the field.

MLS will increase that ban 100%.   That was Rafa type of foul.
