$4 million annually for stadium naming rights, plus whatever they get for an advert on the sleeve, and NYRBs in the black!
I am usually pretty ok at understanding business valuations, but the Forbes stuff makes very little sense to me. Whether or not RB pays itself for naming rights shouldn't matter; there's some estimable value of that, and jersey sponsorship, which is an asset to be counted. In the NY/Metro region, that's a much more valuable asset than in smaller markets.

One thing to keep in mind is TV deals as well. We don't get paid for our local TV deal. We now no longer officially own our stadium. Our real estate asset is the training facility and land. Other than that, our main asset is the actual MLS/SUM licence and our location in NYC Metro.

We own the lease on the stadium with minimal costs until that runs out. That does have some value, although not sure what that is.
Ultimately, the SUM license, ability to have a franchise in this market, and the training facility are the biggest assets.... along with Tyler Adams.

Serious question - Why do these things have higher value in the NY metro area? I am skeptic. Local and national TV deals are not getting more exposure than the average MLS market so theres really no incentive to pay more. The potential is higher but the actual return isnt special.

Everything costs more here. A billboard in Manhattan is worth more than a billboard in Kansas City. More eyeballs with more expendable money per eyeball.
