Cool, so then if he's not a Day 1 contributor then this signing isn't going to be what stops their pursuit of a big signing.

There's plenty of other stuff preventing that

Sounds like the same shit everyone said about Caden Clark.

Thats true - but a midfield of Wikelman, Clark, Yearwood, + CCJ, seems absurdly young.

Need someone in midfield who has some experience. It doesn't seem like Wikelman is a 2021 starter, but would be thrilled to be wrong.

Happy about this pickup though! Feels independent of the Haksabanovic deal that fell through.

Looks like he is a left footed 10. Can develop at RB2 and potentially succeed Clark, assuming he does well down there

Im happy about this. If his development is fast, he can become and important contributor like Casseres did.

Of course we need senior signings too.

exactly frankly after the Casseres signing i was mad we didnt leverage RBII to stash international young talent more for in house replacements.  Generally we need to make more signings like this, as long as we dont forget to make first team signings too.

Rito was pretty old (23) when he first came over i thought.  If you are 23 and being signed for USL you are basically same level as a college draft pick.  Douglas Martinez and Yanes were solid attempts though.

Simpara was 18(?), and was signed to the USL team in '15 or so. I don't think he completed the whole season.

Both signings so far are from South America. Glad that
the scouting hasnt been entirely Europe centric like I assumed.

Seems like the team is replaying the same playbook that they tried and failed with Adams to replace Clark when he moves to the mothership.  Sign an unknown young Venezuelan for cheap and hope he miraculously develops into a player coveted by top sides in Europe.

Taxi and Kaku have the same agent, lol.

How's that worked out for us?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I mean, I'd do it all over again. Neither was a perfect marriage with happy endings but we won multiple Supporters' Shields.

I edited my post but yes. If you're telling me Carmona will be part of a SS or two and then will leave after an ugly dispute sign me the fuck up.
