Capacity?

Maybe 400 on bleachers?

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Motown capacity at Ranger Stadium at Drew is 1,200.
Was pretty full last year, but probably only 50 RB.
Will be interesting to see how many FC Motown fans make the short trip.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Further from the FCMotown fan base.

Up 2-1 in the 35th minute. Early goal from Motown but JP Marin and Brian Saramago scored for us. RJ Allen looks like a man among men out there for Motown.

Edit: 2-1 @ halftime. About the same size crowd as a regular NYRBII match.

After crazy 20min rain delay, back to action.
Winner plays Memphis 901 with former RB U23s Dan Metzger and Adam Najem (along with former NYRBII GK Scott Levene and coached by Tim Mulqueen).

*Saramago with a smart pass to Sowe. 3-1! Currently about a half hour left.
*Saramago off the post in the 63rd.
*Former RBU23, Fabio De Sousa enters for Motown as their final sub.
*Motown gets another. 3-2 in the 70th.
*Motown ties it up a minute later. 3-3.
Juleau, who I have considered a top talent, looks totally gassed and Motown knows it. Simon Nee needs to make a move to get him out if he can't get his second wind.
*JP Marin coming off for Jeciel Cedeno (who is the only academy player to see time with the USL team this far this season).
*Saramago with a perfect ball through to Sowe who had a bit of a hard final touch. Saramago has always been solid and has played with NYRBII as an academy loan before college. Wouldn't be shocked in the least to see him on an HGP deal going into 2020. Might be the most pro ready player on the field for our 23s tonight. He's coming off an injury and not 100%. Sowe is a close second.
*End to end action in stoppage time. Getting ready for another 30min. Each team used all 3 subs, but will get another in extra time.

*Esposito has looked good in extra time.
Sowe has had a few chances. Still 3-3 in the 102nd.
*15 minutes to go.
*Skylar Conway with a great pass to Cedeno. 4-3 with about 5min to play!
*...and with a minute to go, Motown ties it 4-4.
*Headed to PKs.

25 shots this match for RBU23. 10 on goal.

U23s: Goal (Murphy)
Motown: Goal
U23: Goal (Cedeno)
Motown: Goal
U23: Goal (Sowe)
Motown: Goal
U23: Goal (Uche)
Motown: SAVED
U23: Goal (Esposito)

RED BULLS U23 ADVANCE. WILL TRAVEL TO MEMPHIS NEXT WEEK!!!

Yeah, that is what this tournament is all about. Thoroughly enjoyable match, even though between the rain delay, extra time and PKs, 3 hours and 20 minutes have passed.

So why is our USL-Championship team ineligible for USOC, but our USL2 team is ok?

u23s are all amateurs. all are NCAA eligible or just graduated HS/RBAcademy

USL team is mostly pros, all signed to contracts.

the pros that represent the team will be with the 1st team, since we're allowed to draw from both the 1st team roster and the reserve team roster when the 1st team takes the field. no more than 5 int'ls allowed on the field when the 1st team plays.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

First off, credit to anyone who went to this game and stayed for 120+ minutes with the rain delay. I only turned on the PKs at the end but apparently it was an amazing game.

Anyway, isn't there some rule about how far the u23 team is allowed to go in this tournament? What happens if they keep winning?

I believe the rule is that they can't play RBNY before the finals, but other than that I don't believe there are any restrictions. They are perfectly eligible to win the tournament.

Also did anyone notice that RJ Allen--all of one year removed from a three year stretch as a starter for boy city--is now playing for FC Motown? What happened there?

Finally got to his natural level
