Kemar was a complete unknown.  Veron didn't come until August.  I think fans thought Sacha was was going to pretty good, but better than his #10 predecessor, Peguy?  And, we replaced Henry on the wing with a trialist in Grella.  With the exception of Veron, all those moves obviously worked out ok, but I think there was a decent amount of gloom heading into 2015.

That's all true too, crazy it was 5 years ago already so my memory of who came in when isn't the best lol I still felt more confident about that team coming off the conference finals than this one that barely made it into the playoffs and got knocked out in the first round and then literally added nobody who is an impact player after we lost so many.

Like many I have not made plans to celebrate the 2020 MLS Cup at RBA this year.

We may not even get to enjoy the traditional bone-chilling "Goddamnit" walk from RBA after the home playoff elimination loss (didn't get one last year.)

But will go next weekend and the game days thereafter and root the team on and enjoy the season.  Hope for a surprise.

Enjoy the day out, time with my boys, beers, Bello's, etc.

Looking forward to it.

Captain?  Maybe Long, as he, Parker, Kaku, and CCJ are the only four players that should start every match, unless they are injured or need rest.  I like Davis as Captain, but even if he's a starter on Sunday, I'm not sure RZA won't pass him in the depth chart before the season is over.

I don't know how you think our best player last year, by far, Royer shouldn't start every match unless this new formation is the issue and if so why use it? Does he not fit the system/process anymore or did you just forget about him?

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

I'm not sure if we're going to be in the 4-2-2-2 or the more familiar 4-2-3-1 and what the former means for Royer.  I know he look really good as a second forward when we went with two last year,  but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if a combination of two of the three young forwards in White, Barlow, and MJ found some magic and kept Royer on the bench.  Now that I'm typing it, that scenario doesn't sound as plausible...

Anyone want to take a guess at actual butts in seats attendance?

depends on how cold it is.. but under 10k odd is nice, and even less if it rains.

With the current squad I can't see us drawing over 10K for any games this year except the Derby. Might as well tarp the entire top bowl.

there is no way LAFC game on a summer sunday brings less than 10k imo.

But if you tarp the entire upper bowl, where are the cheap seats going to be?

The idiots in the front office still think fans are willing to pay $100 a ticket to sit in the lower bowl center midfield without any food or beverage included.

If they close the upper deck, they gotta sell cheap seats somewhere.

Fine, I'm over exaggerating a little but. But I don't see anyway the attendance isn't embarrassingly awful this year. Team is going to be bad, team has let all of the fan favorites go, team hasn't spend money on any new players, oh and the PATH train is still down on weekends.

Now I'm just ranting...but that's what this forum is for, right?

How many fans usually travel via WTC?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

probably a sizable number who live in either brooklyn or lower manhattan.  at the very least, it would turn off any casual soccer fans from attending a handful of games. why go to all the trouble when you can go see the blue team instead?

I think we see this lineup for sure.

---------Royer--White

----Kaku------------Sims

---------CCJ--Davis

Seagrist Long Parker Duncan

Only shot we see something different is if Valot starts over Sims right now.

Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands?
I would hope that the FO knows,
and could make an accommodation for them.
But I hope for a lot of things.

i'm more convinced that the tarps were a direct result of losing the WTC Path station than our lack of signings or results on the field.  our attendance has sucked pretty hard lately, coinciding with the WTC Path closures. hopefully they wrap it up this Dec, and we see a bump in attendance next year

Really? Is this how we have looked in pre-season? 4-2-2-2 with Royer as the other striker?
