Are people seriously having a conversation about benching our team MVP this weekend?

Shep is NY through and through forever.  Hes never root for another team.  He may be senile.....but hes straight NY.

The RB vision seems to have taken hold in Austria, where RBS dominate, and in Germany, where RBL are also in the CL and are early leaders in the BL.
Meanwhile, RBNY....

.......had the best record in the history of MLS last season.  Have finished with the best record in the league twice in the past half decade.  Are consistently competing in the top of the table over the past 8-9 years.

Warshaw is not worth reading.  Ever.  The worst MLS talking head there is by far, and that's really really saying something.

Hes terrible.  I watched him when he came on the scene a couple of years ago.  Hes bad.

Bite your tongue though, while Alexi Lalas still has a job.  I literally havent heard a word hes said on the air in a decade.  I literally turn the channel every single time hes on TV.  Such a shame because he was such a gutsy player.

#1353962 Hamlett is in so far over his head

Posted by GMoney on 17 September 2019 - 03:47 PM

I'd advise against calling Hamlett out at a NYRBII match simply because he brings his young kids to the matches.

I have kids and I feel you.....but youre a public figure in a high profile, high paying job.  Thats what comes with it.

But were not organized enough to do something like this anyway.

I honestly  dont know what Bernie does.

If any of our Supporters Groups were organized and cared about anything but being a social club......theyd get a huge Hamlett Out banner made.....then show up at the next RBII game at Montclair and chant for his resignation the entire game while he sat there.  In front of 600 spectators, it would be loud and really embarrassing.

But our supporters are unfortunately incapable.

I forgot about Royer. He's been decent.

Hes been really good as a left winger.

Of course, Armas moved him to striker where hes definitely not as effective.

No, thats the rule.

You mistook the Jets for a NFL team.

If armas plays murillo, he should get fired.

Watching murillo play is like watching the same plane crash over and over again but hoping for a different outcome. You already know the ending and its time for this team to move on.

Wow, you really want to see Bucky?

What this team needs is keep managers thru thick & thin. Armas was with team that won 2 SS& lead team to new record of total points in a season & best defense in the league.  Consistency of having the same manager is key to the teams' ability to do well over long haul. just look at Joe Torre did with the NY Yankees in their last golden era or the Pittsburgh Steelers did with the Steel curtain teams. All that said play out the season squeak into playoffs with some major players like BWP injured this season. No matter how we do this season I think that he deserves to finish his contract which I believe is good thru next year. Time to reevaluate will be next year after contract runs out.

Denis, we dont hear from you for 6-months then this post!!!   Holy shit!  Good to hear from you.

Yes, awesome logic.  Ray Habdley was a pathetic coach......but he just needed 5 more years to drive the Giants completely into the ground.  Then they would have become the 1970s Steelers.  Got it.

Armas is a bad head coach.  The sooner you cut bait, he sooner we can end this downward trajectory he has us on.  If you keep him another year, it might cause a roster overhaul.  That might set us back for years.

How come you havent made any moves to help us this year?  Have you been talking to other GMs in the league.  Or are you just walking through our locker room, trying to find defenders to punch?

A couple of observations from sitting very close yesterday.

1.  The team is really out of shape.  Guys were sucking wind and totally gassed early in the game.  Shocking, considering how hard Jessie pushed them when he was here.  Reminded me when Ray Handley took over for Parcells and in week 2 the Giants were so out of shapes, the defensive lineman were taking 1 knee between snaps.  Terrible job by Armas

2.  Cacceras was really upset about not staring last night.  After the final whistle he immediately started charging toward the tunnel.  Armas stopped him and told him sternly to walk around the field and thank the fans.  Cacceras was fuming and fired his water bottle at the bench.

3.  At the 3rf sub was made, Muyl was visibly upset that he wasnt going to play at all.

4. Kemar is definitely not 100%. He hasnt been 100% since the hidden injury at the end of last year.

5.  Diego Rubio is really strong.  Much stronger than he looks on TV.

6.  Aaron Long doesnt look physically intimidating but does a great job winning physical battles with great timing and underrated strength.

#1352777 Why can't we just buy a team like LAFC & Atlanta?!

Posted by GMoney on 26 August 2019 - 08:43 PM

We are a farm team that once youngsters develop, we sell the, off. Pitiful.

Yes, thats what MLS is currently.

Yep, had to take him out to protect him.

Just goes to show how much the rivalry game meant to him.

2nd half was 1-way traffic for LAFC.
