I was curious about players who are still playing that once wore the Metro jersey.  Luckily, we have a complete list of players who have played for us in MF.

Michael Bradley (2005) - Toronto FC, MLS, 30

Ricardo Clark (2003-2004) - Houston Dynamo, MLS, 35

Ramiro Corrales (1998-2000) - Santa Cruz Breakers FC, PDL, 41 (Player-Coach)

Danilo da Silva (2005) - Internacional, Brasileiro Série A, 31

Cornell Glenn (2003) - Central FC, Trinidad an Tobago Pro League, 37

Jason Hernandez (2005) - Toronto FC, MLS, 34

Tim Howard (1998-2003) - Colorado Rapids, MLS, 39

Joselito Vaca (2004) - Blooming, Bolivian Professional League, 35

Additional possibilities:

Abbe Ibrahim (2005), 31

Still only 31, so he could definitely be playing.  The last information I can find is that he was playing for CF Mounana in Gabon in 2012.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Abbe Ibrahim played in the NPSL in New England somewhere last year.

He is now playing in Gabon with Centre de Formation de Football de Mounana (CFM).

A couple other former Metros pop up from year to year in the NPSL.

Danilo da Silva is apparently on the verge of being loaned to LAFC.

Seriously. Even if we had a USL team back in 2005, he probably still would have left to go back to Brazil and nobody would have blinked an eye.

Dynamo Kyiv gets impressed with him and he has an outstanding career there for 7 or 8 years then goes back home again.

I remember there were rumbles he might get capped by Ukraine.

Bob Bradley never forgets!

So, somewhere between #73 & #96.
Whoopee!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
