Are we really going to have to start a freaking offseason thread in October?

My idea of luck would be the cheap soda people selling and getting the fuck out of town. But that's just me.
Well that dude who owns the Cosmos is looking to get into the MLS...
DC put three up on us, nothing else to say.

That dude couldn't afford an MLS team the first time around you gotta be shitting me if you think he's gonna spend more than Red Bull.

I think you may be thinking of the previous owner. Rocco bought the team in February and I don't recall him vying for a spot in MLS. From what I understand Rocco is at a Kluge/Stubotnick level when it comes to wealth. He is also proven to be a fool as an owner. But at this point I'd take the guy because he couldn't possibly be any worse than the soda people who don't care. That dude couldn't afford an MLS team the first time around you gotta be shitting me if you think he's gonna spend more than Red Bull.

Seriously, you would think a Buffalo Sabres fan of all people would know this.

Yes things would be much better if Pegulia didn't buy us. For starters we'd be the Seattle Pilots.Seriously, you would think a Buffalo Sabres fan of all people would know this.

Uhh, things could be a lot worse.
There is literally nothing worse than being owned by people who literally don't give a flying fuck. Nothing.

Being owned by the United Arab Emirates is a tad worse. Just a tad.
At least we're not used to prop up a slave regime.

You are right but being used as a prop to sell soda sucks pretty bad.Being owned by the United Arab Emirates is a tad worse. Just a tad.
At least we're not used to prop up a slave regime.
The thing is (and we are all aware of this) the Red Bull thing was a Faustian Bargain: they were going to rebrand us as their stupid drink, but in exchange they would spare no expense in making us one of the top teams in the league. And for a while they at least lived up to that. But now they aren't even coming close to doing that. In fact they flat out don't care. Therefore now more than ever I just want them to go away.

Or you could miss the playoffs for 6 straight years and finish dead last in the division 3 of the last 4 years.

Most of that time was a teardown to rebuild. We are like 3 years removed from when the team flat out did everything they could to lose as many games as possible. And having a team to root for instead of them not existing is a plus. Pegulia ensured that the Sabres will be around long after I am gone and for that I am eternally grateful. If you can't understand that then I literally don't know what else to say.Or you could miss the playoffs for 6 straight years and finish dead last in the division 3 of the last 4 years.

They were all in until the Leipzig investment, then all the resources were funneled there and we're left to rot.
