Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
Good on him. I think he took it personally that so many people thought he only scored because of Henry and really put in the effort to be a more well-rounded player. You can tell from him recent comments. His positional awareness (not in front of the goal) and quick passing has greatly improved.
Plus, Sam and he seem to genuinelly have a good thing going.
The only choices are goal scorers. If it were up to me, I'd vote Dax.

Kaka is going to get because well, he's Kaka, but, I think it BWP deserves it.
BWP has been great on and off the ball. He's dominant.
Is this the "official" player of the month award, and has it always been fan voting?
Kinda disappointed they only look at people scoring goals. I'm not sure BWP was the Red Bull POTM. Id say Dax, Sam, and robles were just as important if not more.

I think it's official, and in the past it was not up to the idiot fans.
keep it real on the mutha f'n field aight!
Kaka will get it due to internet ballot stuffing abroad.

After 20 years, I still cant fathom why people give two fucking shits for an internet poll with ZERO bearing on anything.
I used to have a couple of funny things here but I can no longer find them.
BWP is much better without Henry so far. Henry only assisted on Maybe 8 or 10 of his 27 goals last yr so not sure why people thought Henry was reason for BWP's success. Gut is real deal as well as Sammy.
To soon to say better, but certainly different.
Henry created opportunities even when he wasn't getting the assist. Somewhere someone posted a good video showing how entire defenses shifted to Henry, even when he didn't have the ball, opening up tons of space for everyone else. And even BWp would admit he learned a great deal from Henry, making him a better player.

The sorrow inside me grows.
I need my plaid pitch.

"He can't kick with his left foot, he can't tackle, he can't head the ball and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that, he's all right.”
George Best, on David Beckham
Exactly. Henry had a gravitational pull that nobody else on the team had. Teams shifted their entire tactics to cover him.
