ATL did score once today, on a scramble, but dropped 2 points and almost lost.

A good result for us indeed. Now 5 points behind them with 2 games in hand.

Would not be surprised if a game (or two) got tacked on to Royers red card suspension. That was a horrendousand totally out of characterchallenge.

As bad as it was, do you think there was intent to injure?  I don't, and that's what usually generates extra games.

Crazy to think that was only the second game that FCD has lost all year. They did not look good.

only the second ... FCD has lost ... did not look good.

With the extra man, Dallas outpossessed us 54/46, outshot us 17-13 (although we were on target 8-6), and has 8 corners to our 3. A shot off the crossbar & some great saves by Robles widened the gap.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Not a coincidence that its one of the only games this year Mauro Diaz didn't play for them. Its uncanny how much of a difference he makes for them, every time he's gone down injured over the last few seasons they've immediately tanked.

Yeah, hes not that kind of player. So, hopefully that gets taken into account. Having said that, it could be argued argue that intent to injure could be inferred. Looking at the challenge, hard to say he was trying to play the ball.

Hes also not the kind of player that chews out teammates on the pitch and yet, thats what he did to Muyl at the end of the Seattle match. I assumed Muyl did something to deserve it, but maybe theres something going on with Royer right now.

Owned them so hard their best player quit.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
