I think for sure he was trying to get away with some dirty play, that wasn't just "oops I went in a little hard there". He had a shit-eating grin on his face, putting his hands up like a kid caught in the cookie jar, and several of his teammates took him aside to talk him down.
And hey its a contact sport at the pro level, I don't mind a little nastiness every now and then from a centerback. But to go in for another dirty two-footed tackle seven minutes later? Oof...
Just for the record I'm not saying to cut him or that he'll never learn. He's clearly a talented player. I'm just a little more worried than some of you guys that this is just who he is.
