Firm disagree.

The best teams in MLS spend big on strikers because a great finisher can paper over a lot of cracks in the rest of the team. City doesn't win the East without Heber, LAFC doesn't win the Supporters Shield without Vela, Seattle doesn't win MLS Cup without Ruidiaz.

I also think everyone should expect some regression in White's numbers next season. He had 12 shots on target (29 attempts) this season and scored 9 of them. That rate is not sustainable.

To add to this, it would be nice to have a forward who can beat a guy (with pace or dribbling) and create from himself rather than be a one dimensional finisher relying on service from the wing. Even if someone at the Henry/Giovinco/Vela level is a pipe dream, a Ruidiaz/Blessing/Diomande shouldn't be beyond our reach.

"SBJ also reports that the games will air on the CBS, CBS Sports Network and CBS' streaming service, "All Access." "

Sounds like 1 on CBS, 1 on CBSSN, the rest behind a paywall. Not too shabby.

had dibs on a guy, but took a $50k allocation instead to let LAFC have him.

I'm sure he wasn't the right fit for the team, though /s

Agree, but the blame should be with Armas the most when I think in some people's eyes, that's not the case.
Also don't know how much blame can be put on Hamlett either because judging the GM who's provided very little budget just isn't very fair. Definitely should place a lot of blame on ownership because spending means a lot in this league towards winning an MLS cup but if your head coach can't get the most out of his players (and Armas has proven very clearly that he doesn't) then spending doesn't mean anything.

2M of what was provided to Hamlett was spent on a USL player. The one decent signing he did make happened at the close of the transfer window, way too late to turn the season around.

Reasonable people can view the situation in a variety of different ways is all I'm saying.

I happen to agree than a better coach could've managed the team to a better league position and further in the playoffs. I also don't think it's outrageous to claim that Adams alone might also have made a huge difference if he were still around and playing under Armas. Or if RB Global threw around money like Atl or LAFC have, even Hamlett may have been able to sign a difference maker, on time.

I know a lot of big name players get thrown around, but there are rumors that Luis Suarez is very interested in coming to MLS. I would love to see him here. I  think he would dominate this league and would be worth the price of admission alone.

Would be great, will never happen
