Yeah...meh. Just some guy who won the Tour De France (yawn) and had one of the greatest one day comeback performances ever. I've heard of him.
Stage 17 2006 TDF
That's cool! Even though he was disqualified after winning it with that doping scandal I'm still a big Landis fan! I'd like to see him back on the international pro circuit.

I'm excited for tomorrow.
As for the Lance/Contador thing, I'm with Stagnant, I don't think that either Lance or Levi could win it.

One thing: They have a STRONG TEAM, and it would be super cool with Levi, Lance, and Alberto all on the podium in Paris.
Vive La Tour de Lance!

Lance is 3rd overall after todays race. The old man is looking good!!
The 'race' doesn't really begin until week 2
Cavendish is killing it again, and again, and again...

Yeah! That should be pretty cool. I like them way better than the ITT.
Astana should win.

Right now, they hold the podium in Paris, since Cancellara can't climb like the Astana boys can. I think that is their ultimate goal this year - an Astana Podium in Paris, and the team victory.
Now THAT would be Le Coup!
As far as Contador "getting caught" yesterday - well, he should be smarter than that. You've got high wins, you know one of the sprint teams is going to work like mad to pull in the break away (and OF COURSE you know Team Columbia is going to work like mad for Cavendish - that's a no-brainer - they're going for an all-time stage win with that man this year, and are likely to get it.) AND it's the first week of the tour - you stay in front, and out of trouble. Both Cancellara & Lance were paying attention and knew where they needed to be. Contador may be younger, but Lance has the experience. We'll see how it all plays out. If Contador thinks he can't learn anything from the Old Man, then he's already lost this race.
There's no one smarter than Lance & Johann when it comes to this three week chess-game on wheels.

Astana's performance was amazing but Cancellara earned the right to keep the jersey by dragging the rest of his team along.
Cavendish didn't seem too happy.
