First time in awhile were playing against a team that's actually in good form, excited to see how we hold up.

I think the starting lineup tonight earned another run out there next week. Maybe swap Long in there.

Will be interesting to see how we match up

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I'd like to see Duncan and Egbo both out there again without losing the best defenders long island has to offer.  Something along the lines of:

----------Barlow/White----------

Royer---------Kaku-------Stroud

Duncan----Yearwood-----Egbo

-----Parker----Long----Nealis--

I kinda think that if we go 3CB, there has to be another CDM/CM paired with Yearwood.

Is it a coincidence that we are getting results while Davis is on the bench? Asking for a friend...

Which is better for a more capable opponent, like ORL, 4 man backline or 3 man backline?

Think I prefer 4231 and at worst having the 12th or 13th best player on the roster playing than 3331 and our 16th or 17th best player being shoehorned as the 3rd CB.

Maybe try that against LAFC or Seattle when we need all hands on deck at the back. ORL might be that caliber of team too, so I'd happily consider it in the playoffs, but we are now on a roll so give it our best shot?

Hard to go back to 3 CBs after the last two performances. The last time we played 3 CBs it was the 0-1 loss to Cinci...

Well hes hurt, but I think these performances show that he could be expendable.

If RZA and Davis both go in the offseason you still have Yearwood, CCJ, and Valot as options in CM and theres every possibility the team brings in another option depending on who the manager is and what formation the team will be playing.

No not a coincidence. I like Davis (but not as captain). I think hes been playing out of position.

Play him further up the field. Davis playing a defensive role is a waste of time. I hope getting out of of the Armas low goal system will unlock his offensive game.

Like others, Davis was being played out of position.
They have played better in their natural positions.
Perhaps he will too, if he finds his way back into the team.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

The 4-2-3-1, the high press, and Kaku playing in CAM role are all things Armas went away from and Carnell has gone back to the last two matches. We broke the season points record doing those three things WITH David in the pitch... so I think its more going to back what we know works rather than the absence of Davis.
