Helluva push to end the season that seemed lost at the All-Star break.

Hoping for Alonso to beat the record (he's already crushed the teams single season home run and strikeout record).

If he breaks the record, I suspect he holds it for a long time, as it sounds like MLB is going to change the baseball again next year (i.e. no more "juiced ball").

Alonso ... crushed the teams single season home run.

Also now #1 in season total bases: 339, and
Extra Base hits: 83, while 4th in RBIs: 118.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Big Pete hits 52nd HR in 1st off Keuchel! Congrats!
Ties with Judge for rookie record.
Passes Mize & Mays for most HRs by an NYC NL player.

In live-ball news, Yankees have hit 304 HRs ...

Happy for him, despite being a Yankees fan. I think hell hold the record for quite some time, due to MLB changing the ball again. I hope hes the cornerstone player that turns the team into a perennial contender.

Nice walk-off 11th-inning 3-run HR by Dom Smith.
86-76 final record.

A better record than the defending champs!

Now, GM gets to pick his own guy.

Watching the MLB playoffs on tv is interesting except that I do not care to watch the players do all that spitting in the dugout.

Losing Bryce Harper seems to have inspired the Nationals and brought the Phillies down. Yet he is considered one of the best players.
