yeah we do (lucky us). the problem is not the amount of vacation, but the date of the game.
In the past 3 years (and I tried to make it every single time without any luck) the game was played on:
2007 (18th August)
2008 (19th July)
2009 (16th July)
I usually can't take any days off in July/August (often have to work 7 days a week during that time) since it's our busiest time of the year with the pro players transfer window + most new registrations of the kids and all that paper crap of the season ending/changing and so on.
as the last 3 times I will try again for 2010.

The city that never sleeps meets the Supporters group that never goes to bed.
A few questions:
Is Harrison, NJ far from NYC?
Will some people end up at the Sears Tower anyway?
Will there be multiple Drunks Of The Week?
Do they serve tacos in New Jersey?
Will New York be as dreadful next year as they were this year?
Is there a shower for Iamthatiam to shit in?
Will I get a plane ride with Linda Pickle again? (Mile High Club, HERE I CUM)
Will this be the first roadie that one of LARS is murdered or incarcerated long term?
Who's crashing with Luvkeane?
Are there any more blue scarves?
Oi, new York can be so humid, it's like a sauna in there!
Done done and done....planning on a week or two vacation around whatev time they set for that game(EDIT: Depending on the wifeys school schedule next year).
A couple of days in there will be with the "boys" as I'm not allowed to to the soccer thing while on vacation with the missus...
I can't wait to see when the schedule is released....(Edit 2: I was thinking early August as and late July might see Sir Becks may be too knackered from a tough WC2010 run...)

This.in my perfect world, we'd play NY of Philly on a saturday and then one of the 2 the following thursday. That would be an epic road trip.

Good call...I'm doing that in Engerland this weekend: @ Newcastle on Saturday, @ Watford on Monday.in my perfect world, we'd play NY of Philly on a saturday and then one of the 2 the following thursday. That would be an epic road trip.

I look forward to you guys coming out and I'm intending to take a day or two off to kick around with you guys or at least be open to doing so.
The PATH takes about 30 mins from NYC.
Depending on what all of you plan on doing, I would think it wouldn't be too hard to get a group rate at some hotel near the PATH in Jersey or lower Manhattan with some advance notice.
Anyway, if you have questions, PM me, if you want me to answer a question about something or if there's something you think I can help with, I'm open to doing so.
Pregame pints 15. Ticket to the game 60. Carlsburg, Meatpie and Crisps 16. Seeing an American score on another American at a Premier League match in England; Priceless.
