If we lose...especially, badly...on August 12, I say it's time to "clean house" and start with Gulati & Bradley <_< Then, we hire Klinsmann or do whatever we have to do, to get Hiddink from Russia, and give them TOTAL control!

Klinnsmannanana does not want to come here because of the lack of media pressure and the conformity of failure... two finals and two loses in a matter of weeks... Kilinsmann wants a country that will bear down on its national team...

The MLSRUMORS story on how crappy USSF is.
HERE

I've never been remotely interested in anything on MLS Rumors except this.

You still shouldn't. One of their points is that the Fed is involved with assisting the Indian FA, and since the state in India from which Gulati hails was named one of the most corrupt in an Indian magazine, therefore whammo! It makes "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" look like "All the President's Men".

Nice...haven't read it yet, but looking forward to more mystical intrigue and magical suspense. Is there a part with magic underwear?

Nothing like a parent-run organization! I've posted quite often about this before. None of this surprises me. With the amount of money the USSF has, the US Open Cup should be a marquee event. Ah well, got to improve the quality of women's soccer in India...it is a moral imperative!

Read the comments. Doesn't look like there will be changes any time soon.

Hell, I'd like to see some support from the USSF for women's soccer in the US: Except for when the keeper is getting jobbed, our WNT has been pretty much invisible in recent years.

Bump...

I look forward to the USMNT in the WC like its the second coming... But for the first time since 1990, I fear the US is going to fold like something that folds rather easily, whatever it may be... We're taking steps back with our development and pseudo-nepotism that is Nike's and Junior's presence... Fuck...

FIRE GULATI!

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Sunil Gulati has been unanimously re-elected to a second four-year term as president of the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Gulati succeeded Bob Contiguglia in March 2006.

A member of Columbia University's economics department, Gulati also heads the U.S. bid to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022. He helped put together the successful bid that brought the 1994 World Cup to the United States, and he was executive vice president and chief international officer of the U.S. organizers for the tournament.

The vote was Saturday at the USSF's annual general meeting.
