Will Kaku be available? Im not sure if he needs to quarantine a couple weeks after coming back from intl duty?

I look forward to seeing what our offense looks like when he and Clark share the field

he probably wont be available for this Sunday's home match, but maybe Illinois has different quarantine rules next week and Kaku can play then?

The international rule for Illinois is:

"International travelers returning home from areas of higher risk should stay home for 14 days after their arrival into the U.S. Once home, monitor your health and practice social distancing."

So if the team is being responsible, he's out for Chicago too.

I'd rather have Barlow's physical presence on the field than Jorgensen or Tetteh whom have not shown jack shit to date! Barlow at least makes runs that spreads the defense. His shooting is horrendous, but he still helps spread defenses.

I know he's too old, but any chance Barlow moves positions ala Long? I dont see it, but just a thought. Man, I wish BWP was here. Not only starting in a 2 striker set up, but training/drilling guys just like Henry did for him.

Nope. According to The Red Bull Way, players over 28 have nothing to ever offer soccer teams. Soccer greatness is only achieved by winning second balls and goals in transition. Legacy and club heritage are meaningless, valueless concepts.

Except we could never make a 2 striker formation work with BWP. That said, I wish he was here too.

Fucking sad how they treated BWP. Henry was great, but we were an epilogue in his career - BWP really made a name here. He was our guy and should have retired here.

We tried converting several players without mixed success.

Stefano Bonomo was tried at center back a few times in USL when we were stacked at striker (sigh). He ended up playing well enough up front to get a MLS deal.

We drafted Ethan Kutler with the intent to convert him from a midfielder to an outside back. He did really well after a few months and earned the MLS contract, before he lost the desire to play soccer.

We drafted Janos Loebe who we knew well from his time with our U23s and was a well known attacking player. Converted to outside back but only lasted last season here. Played well in Miami this year in a few positions, but MLS may be a stretch.

All these guys were out of college, Bonomo was around the same age as Barlow is now.

In case anyone is wondering, no player in team history has ever scored in their first three games.

Had to go back and look - I wrongly thought Jozy scored in 3 of his first 4, but it took him 7 to get his third.

I thought it was Diallo, but it was a couple friendlies added in, not league matches.

FYI, at the bottom of the matchday email from the team, there is a link to get a free RBNY scarf from Continental tires

Royer and Rza might disagree.  BDubs was 6 years past that.

Thanks
I need new tires more than a new scarf but hey why not!

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Anyone want to drop that link?  I somehow never get emails from RBNY even though I get spammed by every away stadium I've ever visited.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
