Valot played mostly at RW cause he wasn;t playing over Adams and Davis but initially in the CCL he was playing as a central midfielder. Him staying as a CM seems more likely to me.

Historic first Waiver Draft pick!

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

There has to be other moves lined up.

We have too many backup wing players:
Guessing Valot and Royer as starters, for now.

Muyl, Etienne Jr., Ivan, Epps, Mines. Stroud and Moreno waiting in the wings (pun intended).

Agree, my dream is axing Ivan and using his salary for someone better.

My current winger depth chart

Royer

Muyl

Valot

DE7

Ivan

Epps

Mines

Moreno

Stroud

Im still dreaming of a Pavon / Kaku level guy on that right wing....

This better not be our only move for the wing positions.

We clearly targeted this guy by trading up in the waiver draft by trading a second round pick.

Hope that Ivan is not long for this roster.

That depth chart is thin on goal scoring ability. Some decent bench options though.

Royer is a streaky player. He need someone with a lot more pedigree than Muyl in the wings to have a chance at any Cup next year.

If Casseres plays up to expectations, Valot should be taking Muyl's minutes.   Valot was good, but he isn't Tyler Adams good, and that's what we need in that spot.

Mines could be special...

Yeah, Mines is the big hope.  I was actually hopeful on him taking over this year after Valot went down.

As was pointed out above, you definitely have to think that we are moving someone.  That's just a lot of guys.  Maybe I'm crazy but I'd prefer to give Ivan another year.  There are some things there with him.

Personally would move Etienne but that's just me...

Have to think that they like Epps.  To move up for him like that means they view him getting minutes this year.  I've said we need to be more athletic and faster in the front 4 so I'm happy with that.

You may be right, or it could be a different story after a full preseason

Seen a lot of people saying this, did he primarily play CM for RB2? For some reason I remember him mostly as a striker or winger.

Looks like a poor man's Veron right now. Some clear skill and athleticism, but he's on such a different page than his teammates that he's useless out there. I'm in the camp of giving him an opportunity after a full preseason with the team.

I just find it unlikely that we had him in for a month or so of trial before signing him and missed that mark by that much.

Some here watch the RBII matches, and get to see the reserves and prospects closely. I do not know how many attend practices. Doesnt everyone train together? The staff should be able to see who is motivated, who is making it, and who still has potential. I will trust their collective judgement.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

The teams often practice together and then split out or vice versa. This is the primary reason the USL team still exists where it does today. If these guys weren't training day in and day out with the first team, they would have moved the USL team or done a hybrid affiliation with a USL club like Houston or San Jose have similar to AAA Baseball (control the players/coaches, the rest is the owner's business).

Regarding Valot: Valot was used mostly as a central midfielder with the USL team, but had locked down the right wing position with the first team prior to his injury. Armas mentioned it was "his spot to lose" while Jesse was still head coach and Valot was still active, prior to injury.

Ivan looked awful, even with the USL team. That said, most players need a preseason with the team before full judgement can be made. Let him try to earn a spot then, much like we did with Muhamed Keita.
