Since this is an official FIFA date, I believe clubs have to release any player called up by his country. I would hope that since we're looking at friendlies for the USMNT they'd let our guys skip out, but not sure the Paraguay and Panama federations will have much sympathy.

Let's hope Long and Adams get a "cold".

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

Guzan is still going, but Steffen has pulled out with a hamstring strain.  I wonder if that limited him yesterday.  He sure did not look good on the third goal.

Steffen has been replaced by Jonathan Klinsmann.

Steffen ... did not look good on the third goal.

IMO he was completely unsighted, as two defenders scissored in front on him as Royer blasted the rocket.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

i am really curious if the Venezuela national team will make Martinez go to Japan and then Doha for back to back matches.  That would be brutal for Atlanta.

Some good news, early reports are that neither Adams or Long are in the starting lineup against England today.

Id rather they play today and be rested on Tuesday.

rather they start today, practice a few more days and then come back early skipping the 2nd game.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

Adams on the bench, Long is not. So ridiculous they are even on the team.

Victor Palsson starting for Iceland vs Belgium...there is a blast from the past

Yep.  Especially considering this is practically a Rooney testimonial.

Trapp playing over Adams is stupid.

Trapp is so ridiculously overrated.  Hopefully they're just doing us a solid and leaving Adams out.
