Besides, I think Meyer has earned the chance to play in the final.

This. Although if he has some defensive blunder that leads to a goal, i will quickly change my mind. ;)

I tired of hearing about Houston's record before and after Boniek. As we've seen with our beloved departing #23 over 6 years, multiple "stars" with the Flounders and the Fire, Thierry Red Bull, amongst other examples, one DP a team does not make.

In cup finals, form means nowt. But if we want to look at the basics, then we've scored more goals than Houston over the regular season, even when we were leaking like a teabag in the first couple of months. The VAST majority of Houston's wins occurred in Houston (11 regular season home wins). They've really struggled to win on the road (3 regular season away wins). Plus, we've got the home crowd. The 12th man effect can be quite real, and I think our team respond to it. Remember Magee's goal against Vancouver in the first round of the playoffs? That happened right when everyone got really loud. And it wasn't the first time that happened this season either.

Every motherfucker I've talked to over the last week and a half wants this cup more than they wanted last year's cup. Including me. And that's saying something, because I was about ready for a human sacrifice last year.

Fuck Houston, in every way imaginable. I WANT THIS CUP.

So does this mean full blown virgin human sacrifice this year? Or maybe a certain ritualistic fox sacrifice? I won't tell peta.

I think this is a big factor in the Gs favor: We've only played Smurfs l'Orange once this season, and it was in Houston. They haven't played the Gs in LA since last year's Cup.

Furthermore, in that game in May, Saunders, Donovan, Keane, and of course Gonzalez were all out. For that matter, so was Meyer: Bryan Jordan played 90 minutes in back. The team was deep in early season Suck Mode. The Oompa-Loompas haven't played us at anything like full strength this year.

Interesting. Wonder where they get the 60k number from.

No idea.

They just make this shit up as they go along.

Updated Injury Report.

I agree that Meyer should start Saturday. But if AJDLG could even just suit up, that would be good to see.

With Grandstands and grass berm open, capacity will be a bit over 30k.

30k X 2 lungs a piece = 60k?

I feel like the AJ or Meyer decision is a big one and it worries me...

Still though...

Bones has prophesized.

Fredo has previewed.

All that is left is a Slug prediction...
