MLS up 2-0, looking good. League is definitely better than ever. If we can get to 10-15 mil cap at next CBA, would be encouraging.

The MLS starting lineup was very solid, and it was a pretty good game overall.  I thought Dax played well, and Rimando robbed Harry Kane twice.  Although Kane got a little revenge by scoring a great goal.

You would usually think that the MLS guys might be a little starstruck playing against Premier League teams, but last night the reverse might have true with some of these Tottenham guys playing against Kaka and Villa.

It's too bad Giovinco didn't play.

You could tell Kane was really into this match by how crazy he went after scoring that thunderblot. Seriously, he looked about as disinterested in this match as one could be.

no one got hurt. specifically, dax didn't get hurt.

i am not sure why i watched it.  they should televise all star soccer drills instead of a friendly

- power shot: who's got the hardest shot in the league? (for added throwback, get Mitre to sponsor it and call it...the Mitre Power Shot ©

- speed dribble: who can slalom around a set of cones the quickest?

- straight line speed: sprint from goal line to midfield

- bulls eye: who can hit a series of targets with the ball

- keeper throw: which keeper can throw the ball farthest

- boom kick: which keeper can kick the ball farthest

All these would make for a more entertaining series of events.

He scored a goal with his team still losing. Not many people celebrate like they won the world cup when their team is still down.

Overall, I watched the first half and it was entertaining. It meant nothing, but the game was fun. It's just a way to put all of the "best" players together in one place at one time.

Flipped over from the Mets a couple of times.  More drama there, with the trade debacle playing out during the game.

Ridiculous half-time interview of Garber.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

What, you didn't like Lalas' hard-hitting interrogation?

I think my favorite part of the pre-game was when they asked Gerrard about two players he's not played with...
