I got columns 1 and 3 filled out, middle column empty; for some reason couldn't remember that Haaland started at Salzburg (thought it was Leipzig to dortmund).

Was actually surprised to see 21 metros played in the Bundesliga, I struggled to think of more than a couple

Bum: weather. Crowd was surprisingly strong given the conditions. Could have been even better without rain

I'm in Harrison now. It's not bad now but weather is supposed to get worse around kickoff. Leave the umbrella at home, bring a poncho

Covered seats!!
Only 1 time do I recall getting rained on while watching which was due to lots of wind

Well we are now dealing with a gale watch for Sat evening. No way we get over 10k in seats.

Current forecast calls for rain, 44 degrees, 10-20 mph winds.

In Topic: Is Vanzeir a bust?

04 March 2024 - 09:24 PM

A lot is made of Vanzeir's partner, but I think the issue is more in how our coaches are using him. Struber wouldn't know how to get Cristiano Ronaldo to score goals, Lesesne let him roam free in the midfield, and now Schwarz has him making more runs to the corner flag or playing him as a right winger.

There have been almost no patterns of play since Vanzeir's arrival that include him making a run into the box at the same time that someone is looking to play him in. It makes it really hard to judge him as a player because this is supposed to be what he excels at, and he's not even being put in a position to try.

It can't get much worse for Vanzeir than the first 15 minutes of the second half against Houston in that RW spot. Some clips here of him and Edelman coughing it up time after time, mostly Vanzeir.

If the game plan will continue to ask him to play mostly in the open field, then swapping him for another DP this summer might be the best move for everyone. But then again, that scares me because I was confident they'd flip Luqui and here we are with an open DP spot. I feel like selling him over the summer just means we end 2024 with two open DP spots.

Seems like he's being wasted out wide. Maybe the team would benefit from having Dante play centrally and Manoel out wide
