Just want to say Kaku and Tarek were fantastic.

how satisfying it was to watch a team in the lead keep pushing for more goals all the way to the final whistle, and not park the bus and waste time.

Unless RSL scores on the counters that they had.
Then, people would be complaining.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

You can tell that Kaku is fired up and has a point to prove.  I've never seen him work as hard defensively as he did against RSL.  So, I don't think he's gonna sit around and sulk.

And of course, he was fantastic when he was on the ball.

I assume I'm not alone in noting that we were terribly sloppy on the ball all game, despite the result (with the exception of the subs).    So many clunky first touches and incomplete passes I lost count.   We were fortunate that RSL was the same.

Wasn't just you, I'll take a dominant win where I can get it but RSL was awful.

Actually disagree.  Thought our passing was as good as it's been all year.  Usually Davis is a disaster on the ball and he couldn't miss it felt like.

Some guys like Rza were off, but I'm learning that he's very off and on as a player. Some games the best player on the field and some games not so much.  Royer wasn't great with his passing but he's not a high percentage passer as it is.

This was our best game of the season.  Even said the same thing at half time although it was 0-0.  Pressing was good, passing not bad.  RSL was kind of dumb trying to play out of the back against us with the talent they have, but either way we were grinding.   Love Ivan and Omir off the bench.   We are definitely playing with our 4 best attackers at those two positions.

Murillo was great.  Taxi same.  Parker more of the same as usual and Tarek was good as he's been this year.

You are not alone. At halftime Armas flattened out Rza and Davis and Petke subbed in Beckerman. That had a big impact on the midfield battle which tilted in our favor. Then we got a little lucky with the own goal. After that RSL fell apart.

77% of 545, 420 completed.
Similar to poor rates in other matches.
69% in Cincy win, 78% v. VAN, 65% v. ATL, etc.
RSL was 63% of 328, only 207 completed.

Our passing hasn't been crisp all season, but overall i thought it was considerably better Saturday. It helps tremendously when Murillo is having a good night. Such a Jeckyll and Hyde player.

RZA was notably bad though. I know he had that big game last season, but i'd really like it if he stopped teeing off from 30 yards and sailing it into the stands every chance he gets.

Murillo and Muyl need to swap roles.

The match report title for this game is one of the most absurd/best yet.  Kudos to Metrofanatic.

Except that, it was not a laugher for the first hour.
Perhaps a better caption would be Red Bull Pounds Salt.
