There's a US boarder in the middle east now? You're going to get the conspiracy theorists going.

I'm glad somebody noticed that.

Iraq/USA might as well be the same thing at this point given our involvement there.

Some food for thought:

Medvedev could resign at the end of the year and guess who could be president once again in Russia... yep, Vlad Putin.

It seems Philly fans have signed up on metrofanatic to vote for themselves (in 'What team do you hate more?') . No real fan of this team would vote anything other than DC.

Got about 3 hours until the final tallies are in.

Unless GW pulls something completely out of nowhere, the US will not attack Venezuela.

A 6 pack of Land Shark willl taste ever so good come the home opener.

Why on earth would you think that the US would be attacking Venezuela?

I've never read it, but I've heard the man speak on a few occasions and am fascinated/disturbed by his position.

Might have to pick it up in the near future. I'll need something new to read on my next plane ride.

Then you should read some Chomsky.

They say Chomsky is the most quoted man in American history, yet I don't know any of his quotes.

*Shrugs*

Pebble,

No idea why Steve would think would he thought, but it is now 12 PM and I have officially won the bet.

Then you should start reading some of his stuff. There's some decent stuff out there.

Vidal is great as well.

OK, a six pack it is.

Pastor, when we meet in March I will explain the rationale behind my fears. It would take too long now.

Hey Steve,

Got any other wacky predictions we can bet on? I'd love to have a 24 pack by opening day.

Jay, you have no idea how glad I am to have lost this bet. There is currently only one cousin overseas. that is the lowest number in years.

I think I understand the fears, but Bush had no political capital. In August of '08, he couldn't get people in his own party to agree with him on what color the sky was.

I put it like Clinton after the whole Lewinsky thing. He tried bombing a location where Bin Laden was and the Republican Congress started guffawing about how Clinton was bombing an aspirin factory.

Pastor, there was far more substance behind my fears than can be be explained in a short posting here. As far as political capital, after 11/08 that wasn't an issue.

A lot has happened in 10 years. But ...

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
