Seeing on Twitter that Aaron Long has signed a new contract with RBNY. 3 year deal.

"Obviously, I want to make a living (in soccer), to say the least," he said. "There's so much you can accomplish in the soccer world, and right now I'm focused on having a good season with the Red Bulls. Ultimately, our goal is to win the MLS Cup, and I see no reason why we can't." - #4 Tyler Adams

Soon to be a lock on defense for the USMNT. Great move by the club.

by locking up Taxi, Parker and Long in last 4 months or so I am happy with the offseason.  Good to see the club finally dipping into the self funded TAM pot and keeping the core of the team together.

Glad we got him tied down now because I have a feeling his stock is just going to keep rising.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

How did the Post not go with Aaron Long Term Contract? Not even 'Red Bulls take care of Business Up Front, sign Mullet in back'? They've fallen far from Headless Body in Topless Bar.

Anyway, awesome on a few fronts. First, I'm glad he got paid, he deserved it. Second, I'm glad we now have him & Parker locked up for a while. They'll either be here long term, or we'll get money if they are sold, either way, better news than them walking at the end of their contract. Finally, it's another reminder to potential youth signings than our pipeline of Academy-USL-First Team works; even though Long didn't come from the academy, he got into our USL setup & blossomed from there, took that to the first team and got paid. Love that.

Also, he has enough money to go to a fancy place and get a Eurotrash Mullet, instead of just a regular old American one, but hopefully he keeps it local.

That is not The Post. That is Wheel of Fortune!

The newspaper industry is collapsing. Re-write, editors and headline writers seem to have vanished.

Well, no one is perfect. I realized the best mullet version of that headline was "RedBulls take care of Business Up Front, sign Long in Back." and just refer to the mullet, instead of saying it.

Sigh.

Of course. It would be a good headline.
If any headline writers still existed!
Just beware of cute puns!

Apparently, it is more than Parker is getting.  According to Sam Stesjkal, its over 900k a year.

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.
