Hopefully he relegates his way over to NY yo.

Maybe he goes to college for one term and we get in the draft...

Like the dude and all and really wanted to see him here but he seemed to be asking for alot for a dude who hasn't played in a bit.

dude signs with a Bundesliga team but people earlier in this thread wanted to get him for under $200k/yr.  lol.

Safe to say he is making a lot more than that but he isn't raking in the millions. Darmstadt operates on a shoe string budget compared to the rest of the Bundesliga.

But gotta think he felt he wants to continue to pursue a career in Germany and going back to MLS would harm that. He is gonna get games at Darmstadt but he is gonna find it tough this season. They are a bottom team for a reason. They don't create much and rely a lot on set pieces. It really was a great achievement for them to stay up last year and they are gonna go down almost certainly. So he'll be playing in Bundesliga 2 next year.

He's milking it. Guy's team got trashed 6-1. Guess everyone needs to eat.

Boyd with some insight on the move that almost happened.  So the talks were real, but not at DP levels, or he would have been able to choose where he was playing I think.

I did not realize he was a BL level striker.  If he can make it there then good for him.

Thought he wasn't getting much time in the BL2, so losing Giovinco and signing Boyd is a net loss for TFC.

Apparently they view him as a depth option given where his career's been lately, not a Giovinco replacement.

I also saw something on Twitter that we were inches from signing him back in 2017, don't know what ultimately fell through though.

You could read the thread.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Giovinco's replacement is looking like Sofiane Hanni. Boyd will be a backup to Jozy.
