#1366435 Was the return of MLS a good experience?

Posted by General Robles on Today, 08:10 AM

I don't see any reason that small groups from team supporters like our Viking Army or  the Timber Army  could not been allowed at game.

Having groups of supporters from 24 different clubs fly into Florida, of all places, then fly back to their respective home cities is probably not the best idea right now.

#1366161 What's going on with Sims?

Posted by General Robles on 01 July 2020 - 11:38 AM

Im not basing on his NY sampling, Im basing that on his entire pro career. Look it up if you havent already.

He does not score goals. Good riddance.

Bring on the next underwhelming international.

Saying "he couldn't even beat out Valot" is not only very specific to his brief NY career, it's specific to the 2 games this season. I'm not shedding any tears over his departure, but that's not a reasonable statement. We have no idea what his role would have been if the season took place as normal.

I'm well aware of his career numbers. I'm not trying to say we've suffered some backbreaking loss.

Does anyone really care?  Lets be honest, Sims couldnt score goals anywhere he played.  Here he could not beat out Valot.

The only sad thing about this is that it reinforces that we cant sign any legit talent.

Saying he could not beat out Valot is an overstatement. We are talking about a 2 game sample size. That is not enough to make a concrete statement.

#1366111 Can we bring some real talent here?

Just Cancel the fucking season

Fairly good odds that happens, I'd say.

The beating Omir takes is different than Mines.  Generally when Omir is rocked its a foul where for Mines you get some "weight room" moments which may have led to some of his injuries.  In Omir's case  he needs to get stronger so he recovers better from matches and can last the whole season.  He started off the year brightly but didnt have enough juice to last the whole season.  Would love to see him as a second striker in the new setup.

Both of them are brave though and dont shy away from a beating which is important.

100% agree. I wasn't necessarily comparing the two. That's kind of what I was inferring about Omir.

Omir can't stay on his feet, either.   He seems to draw an inordinate number of fouls.

That part of what I like about Omir's game. He takes a beating, but he's never afraid to get stuck in and draw a foul.

Congrats to the resident Liverpool faithful. I have a soft spot for them due to a couple close friends being diehards, but I also just love watching them play and love Klopp.

It's a 9am eastern start time. Imagine being a Sounders fan and having to wake up 6am local time for a domestic league match.

They invented waking up at 6 AM for domestic league matches.

Watching a little boy run circles in a yard small enough to be a prison dog run is truly sad.

Good news for you and your grandson. Playgrounds allowed to reopen on July 2nd.

Does that mean Sims is extended past June or whoever wrote this article doesn't have a slightest clue what he is talking about?

My guess would be the latter.

I also like Cuomo and in the press conferences but the nursing home thing is massive.  Most of the deaths of this damn virus is in Nursing homes so protecting them is everything.  A vast, vast majority of people manage with this just fine.

As far as I see, some states didn't have Covid patients being admitted to nursing homes so it's clearly a state by state decision.  If that's the case, then the governors that did the wrong deserve every bit of shit coming their way and the governors who did the right thing deserve to be recognized.

And Murphy gets lumped in with Cuomo on the nursing home debacle.
