Is any one else out there from Des Plaines? I dont mind making one, it just seems a little silly to have a banner for a city that only one Section 8 guy lives in as far as I know.

Actually that's exactly the point. It's like flags for English, Irish or Argentine fans that have the name of their neighborhood or town; even if it's one person. There should be a DES PLAINES or JOLIET or SOUTH LOOP or WICKER PARK. It might mean yours is a bit smaller but you should still do it and hang it at matches.

There are some Polish Fire fans in Des Plaines, but they don't visit these boards. They might get a kick out of seeing a DP banner though.

i recommend painting in an enclosed area. that way if you screw up, you'll be too high from the paint fumes to notice. :D
