I gotta applaud Hamlett's foresight. Why spend any money if there is gonna be no season? He was truly ahead of the time.

Hard work and diligence can pay off in the long run, but procrastination and sloth always reward immediately.

Tick tock

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Can we all just admit that this season was a lost cause to start with, and then became even more of one once COVID hit, and so it would be fucking hilarious now if Hamlett was made interim Head Coach and was forced to try to win with this shitty roster he built? I'd laugh my ass off.

Does anyone actually believe Hamlett holds a single ounce of power despite still being on the payroll?

Agreed.  It might be unfair he has a job and Armas doesn't, but I'm not concerned he's going to damage this team any further.

As far I can tell, Hamlett does not do anything any more, so I do not really care if he keeps his job or not.  If Red Bull wants to pay him to do basically nothing, good for Denis.  He seems like a nice enough guy.  It does not seem that firing him at this point would accomplish anything other than satisfying some angry fans.

Well it would accomplish freeing up some cash that could be spent on things that might actually benefit the team...

he can keep the part of the job that lets him deal with the MLS College Draftees, signing HGs, and reserves.

You can make the case that our two best players this year have been Meara and Duncan.

What were Hamlett's offseason priorities? A backup goalkeeper and right back.

Yeah, imo both Hamlett and Armas have proven to be massive failures.

Somehow he's convinced the organization and new manager that he's an MLS cap expert

Hamlett would do a good job GMing a USL team, as long as he thought he was actually getting players for a MLS team.

It's beyond that for me, they're one of the least competent GM/coach combos I've followed in my life as a sports fan.
