BBC finally hears about this story:
http://www.bbc.com/n...canada-44259849

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Looks like Precourt will keep his MLS franchise and new Crew owners will buy in. Any discount?

Truly happy for their fanbase, nobody deserves to have a team taken like that.

But unpopular opinion time: they wont be able to blame Precourt sabatouge for the same problems they've had for years going forward.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

I would think that the new NFL owners want to fill a new stadium with some big signings.

Will they be Arthur Blank or Robert Kraft?  We'll have to wait and see.

Arthur Blank or Robert Kraft?

Kraft MLS 1.0
Blank MLS 3.0

And new owner Jimmy Haslam made his fortune running a company that had to pay nearly $100 million in fines in a federal fraud settlement.

And, oh yeah, he owns the fucking Browns.

I wish the Crew all the best, and I know there are other owners involved and they're expected to get a spiffy new downtown stadium. But the lead investor isn't exactly inspiring confidence here.

As a Whalers fan do you know what is worse than having a badly run team? NOT HAVING A TEAM AT ALL.
Let's Go Buffalo!!!

So, there's no chance of them becoming the Cleveland crew?

i'd like to see a USL team in/around Cleveland and having it owned by CLB or that hybrid arrangement that some MLS teams have with USL squads. CIN/CLB is gonna be a fun regional rivalry.

RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

Not sure what your definition of fun is.

The way expansion looks now (as I see it):

Columbus stays put. Austin will be one of the expansion cities for #27-28. If they fail to build a stadium, it will be San Antonio taking their place. The other expansion city will be a reinvigorated St Louis. I love their supporters group's name - "The Louligans". The new St Louis effort is by the family that owns "Enterprise Rent-A-Car".

#29-32 will be from among San Antonio, Detroit, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Charlotte, Raleigh and any surprise city that pops up.

When they get to 32 teams, it will likely be a 38 game regular schedule like the PL. Except we also have playoffs, and an all-star game. Each team plays home and away with other teams in its 8-team division, then once a year with every other team.

Of course.

I just think Haslam is more likely to be Bob Kraft than he is Arthur Blank, given his other business dealings.

Perhaps 8 divisions/groups of 4, in 2 conferences.
H&A with 3 group rivals + 31 singletons = 34 total.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
