Give the choice, Jozy is coming here.  No doubt.

^ Henry is 37. We are playing Arsenal at home in their only match stateside this summer and their only match in the USA since 1989. Do you really think he's sticking around another year? Because that looks like a testimonial match to me.

He's retiring and that leaves a hole at striker. Jozy would fill that spot nicely.

So would several aging Euro stars.

No chance in hell Jozy stays there.

Wickham will get a starting spot. Maybe they'll try to sign Borini. And then they will probably get another guy.

Nah, I want a not-too young American at that spot. Time to start building a well-balance squad for once. I want this team to start thinking more like RSL. No brining any aged Euros unless we have to.

Who's going to buy Jozy?  He's staying at Sunderland, they need depth, and no one is going to value him properly for a sale.

An MLS team will buy him.

A striker who scored one goal all season is unlikely to come back to the Premier League.

Sunderland will have Wickham, Borini, probably a new guy and they are better off keeping Fletcher over Jozy. That would leave Jozy as a fifth-string striker.

Sunderland can bring on a Owen-esque aging proven veteran for depth. They don;t need a depreciating asset in Altidore.

Sunderland probably knows they can get 5 million in transfer fees from MLS for him, and get his salary off the books.

not sure if there are many MLS teams that are willing to pay that ~$5 mil transfer fee or whatever it is, probably just a few that could afford the fee plus the yearly salary.

Why are they going to have Borini?  He's on loan.  You're assuming the new guy.  That's third-choice in probably a two-man front.  There will be opportunities to play.

MLS isn't going to pay enough money to make up for Sunderland's investment.  He's under contract for three more years, and they spent a lot of money to get him.  They won't sell unless someone bids way over his value.  Which, after one league goal, no one is going to do.

I mostly assume it's because of those awful teammates that are certain to get relegated are solely to blame though.

HOW IS IT STILL BEYOND PEOPLE'S ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THAT mlstransfers KNOWS NOTHING AND SHOULD NEVER BE CITED ABOUT ANYTHING EVER PERIOD EVER.  NOTHING.   It's amazing that people even speak about anything coming from it.

In my experience, it doesn't matter if its sports, politics, etc., people will repost and quote any crap from fullofshiteblog.com as long as it fits what they want to believe.

On a quasi-unrelated note, since somebody asked, no, the team has not and is not in the process of signing Cardona from the academy team.
