George Michael is dead (no, not that one).

George Michael, a veteran Washington sportscaster who gained national recognition with his syndicated "The George Michael Sports Machine" highlights show, died Thursday. He was 70.

Before SportsCenter was on for 25 hours a day, this guy was the man. I stayed up late many a Sunday night to catch his weekly sports wrap-up. Peace-out brother.

I remember when he was a DJ at 77WABC back in the 70's along with Dan Ingram.

Having a good friend of mine tell me that the girl i was trying to mack it with (who by the way i told her we should just be friends and maybe see what happens and she was excited i wanted to go back to the "old days" when we hung out and actually talked) is now "talking to a boo" and says its complicated, and then tell him not to tell me cuz she dnt wanna hurt me or get me jealous. You either have to play your hand strong from the start... meaning take her out 1 on 1. Or if you are at a party or some group event, find your opportunity and make a move.

You get attached too quickly and don't show the girl you are interested. You have to give her a reason to either date, find out more about you, or hook up.

Girls like someone with confidence who can "wow" them.

Then again I've been in the friend zone before and gotten something out of it. Unfortunately, once you are in the friend zone, you don't get a relationship.

If you are just looking to lay the pipe, you still got a shot to some extent.

So a few days ago, a friend of mine comes through for me and gets me a ticket for the Bengals/Jets game. With the game at 1PM, I figure I'll have no problems. Then the Jets beat the Colts and suddenly the game is changed to an 8:20 PM start. I hate this for two reasons: The first is that with the game ending around 11:30 PM I could be cutting it real close to getting the last train to Brewster. Getting stuck in NYC would really suck, especially considering I have jury duty the next day. The second is that at 1PM, the Jets fans wouldn't have had as much time to get drunk in the parking lot, thus less chance for me as a Bengals fan to have some idiot try to start a problem with me. Now they'll have a whole day to get shitfaced so I'll have to leave my Bengals hat and jersey at home.

How'd you become a Bengals fan? Just out of curiosity.

In the mid 80's, there was a sporting goods store in the town I lived and they had NFL jerseys on clearence. The two teams who they had were the Bengals and Chargers. My dad decided to get me a #14 Ken Anderson jersey and ever since I've been a Bengals fan.

No i know nothing will ever happen, because i am stuck so deep in the friend zone. But i just hate that even as friends she doesnt want my buddy to tell me that shes talking to this other dude. Personally does it suck because i never got anyhting, yea, but as a friend, i just want her to be happy.
