my favorites include the burgers at the pilsnerhaus in hoboken, land and sea diner in fair lawn and white manna. Zinburger is also pretty awesome even though its a chain restaurant.

One of the best burgers I have had in my life was at a place called Merritt Canteen in Bridgeport. Went to school up there and always stopped by after a night out.

But you can't forget about the 5 pound bag of "small" fries and all the peanuts you can eat. Great burger, great fries. To me it's the total package.
Five Guys is legit. Ditto on the fries and peanuts. Can't imagine a better chain that exists.

they don't even have milkshakes. They're not expanding their menu this century unfortunately.
yeah, i've brought home a bag full of the free peanuts. can do without all the fries, though. hate the type that are soft, almost soggy.
