Does anyone have an idea as to Royer's status? Made ~375k last season. My question is, was that salary slot pro-rated? And if so, what's his salary for this season? ~700k, like BWP?

Good catch, that could definitely be his pro-rated salary. Veron is listed as $200k in the 2015 MLSPU report, and $500k in the 2016. Might be where some of that additional TAM is going, although I feel like there would have been more noise around his signing if he was on a DP-level contract.

Average salary in Danish league is only marginally higher than MLS (http://deadspin.com/...s-ar-1658856283)

Hard to assume Royer was making more than $350 - $400k at Midtjylland,

Do we think he got a big raise to come to MLS? I don't.

Salary details on MLSPU are annualized per the explanation on the website.

Lots of new MLS transparency details released lately so wanted to dump it in one place:

MLS released who all the TAM players are in the league.  Assuming we had two was correct but instead of BWP and Collin, it is BWP and Royer
Our roster is here as Metrofanatic pointed out, so we have 3 senior spots available
The champions league allocation money given to each team was released.  ($100k for making it and $200k split among remaining team who make it to knockout stage)
Homegrown subsidy of $125k to pay homegrowns above minimum salary (which is why Davis is not on the senior roster)

Really curious how much Royer makes (if its simply double last year's salary) or something in between last year and that.  Good that they were able to get Collin for less than max salary.  Also we only have one international spot left which limits what we can do even though we have a lot of cash left.

You gotta applaud MLS for being more transparent. Took them 22 years...

Royer was on 375k last half season. so not surprised that he's one of the most priciest players on the squad. looks the part.

Agree... No problem with him getting paid.  Dude looks good.

The one that continues to hurt us is Veron.

At least with the addition of TAM he's not eating up the last of our DP spots. As things stand we could still fit two DP-level players on the roster.

Taken from this site https://public.table...:showVizHome=no

Senior Roster - On Budget:

These 20 players are the only ones that count towards a club's 2017 salary cap of $3,845,000.

Teams are required to have a minimum of 18 players on their senior roster.

The maximum cap hit for any one player in 2017 is $480,625.

Supplemental Roster - Off Budget:

Roster spots 21-24, do not count towards the salary cap

All supplementals make > $65,000 in 2017.

All Gen Addidas players are supplementals.

Reserve Roster - Off Budget:

Spots 25-30 on the roster, can only be filled with players 24 or younger, don't count towards salary cap

Are either a) earning the reserve minimum salary of $53,000 in 2017 or b) HG's earning more through the homegrown player subsidy

Players occupying spots 29-30 must be HG's.

DP's under 21 are charged $150,000 against the cap. DP's aged 21-23 are charged $200,000. DP's over 23 are charged the full $480,625.

There are 176 international spots across the league

Edit: Author says he'll be making updates regarding salary figures and TAM info.

Worth noting if Royer's salary last season was prorated for half of the season and Frederik Gulbrandsen costs ~300k we have finally blown through all of our TAM for this season (assuming we used all of it last year).  Only have general allocation money left now.  Luckily signing a new defender to replace Baah should not count against the cap since its a replacement player.  Only problem now is we do not have any international slots.  We need to trade for one to make a move, or find an American alternative.

Other option is loaning Ndam to USL, like we did with Zeiko Lewis and freeing up an international slot that way.  We need to get Collin his Green Card

He had a Green Card and gave it up.
