Good for him. One year in the Championship to get his legs & back up in the Prem to dominate.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I guess he really wants to make this Europe thing work and doesn't care forthe USMNT job at the 26 WC. GL at Southampton, I guess, he will need it.

Agree. Feel coming back in his mind would be step back professionally. Like he'd take an assistant job in Championship or lower division in another Euro country, if he wasn't considered for the Southampton job, than come back to MLS or USMNT.

Its easier to get the USMNT job than it is to get a job in the Prem. Hopefully he has some level of guarantee that hell stay on if they get relegated. Id actually like to see what Marsch can do in the Championship where the playing field will be a lot more level than his experiences at Salzburg & Leeds.

He'll do fine in the 'Ship, not in the EPL, though.

He did fine in the EPL last year.

Leeds is down the bottom in spending and down the bottom in standings. Not like Southampton is any better.

A home World Cup is a once in a lifetime opportunity but yes, completely understandable to take a Prem job if the opportunity is there. Slightly surprised that it is after two quick firings in a row.

good luck Jesse (your going to need it)

Quite an interesting choices on all sides.  Seeing if he can stave off relegation 2 years in a row!

Away v Leeds next week will be awesome!!

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I wouldn't be surprised if this works out to be a temporary gig. It's going to take months for US Soccer to hire the guys that will then be hiring the new USMNT coach.

"They better keep playing that RB Arena update because that unbuilt stadium is the only positive thing about this soft-drink-selling, coached-by-a-dumbass, trading-good-players-for-shit, hopeless, retarded, club." - MetroFanatic

"It was always six weeks away. Every month, [Nick Sakiewicz] would say, we're six weeks away from the stadium. It's been the longest six weeks of my life." - Mike Petke

"I think every country can learn everything about each other. If the whole world can be together, it can be good." - Mathias Jorgensen

"I want to give you lots of titles for your happiness. Lots of hugs.” - Fabio
